He pays homage to his dead cat by creating surreal bushes with his effigy

the United Kingdom, the artist Richard Saunders lived 14 years old with his cat Tolly. More than a companion, Tolly accompanied the artist on a daily basis, even when he was working. Unfortunately, our hairy friends often leave us prematurely and our artist wanted to pay tribute to him in the most beautiful way.

Richard Saunders has thus embarked on a creative project called The Topiary Cat. The principle: to illustrate the cat Tolly in the form of bushes carved with his effigy that take place in different decorations. One could almost doubt behind the realism of the different achievements of Richard Saunders, but the different stagings of Tolly are purely digital.

No box has really been cut to pay tribute to cat and everything was created from scratch on Photoshop. Nevertheless, we love the way the artist stages his cat in bushwho takes postures absolutely majestic in beautiful landscapes where he is the main element.

For the record, many cat enthusiasts have believed that Richard Saunders realized with his own hands his bushes carved with the effigy of Tolly. The illusion is totally real and allows the artist to anchor his eternal companion in works that will remain, they, for theeternity. You can find more information on the project's Facebook page The Topiary Cat.
