Pixar makes his short film Bao available on a brioche Chinese ravioli that comes to life

When it comes to stuffing his short filmsemotions, Pixar knows how to do it. Each of these little films coming out of the studios is always expected with great impatience. And "Bao"the youngest is no exception to the rule; he has already made good speech about him. On the occasion of the release of Indestructible 2 in the cinema, it was broadcast just before the session, after the usual commercials. However, "Bao" has not been unanimous everywhere ...

"Bao"is the story of a mother whose son has left the house, and who is fond of a "bao" (Chinese brioche ravioli) become alive. So we follow the evolution of their relationshipwe can also see this little ravioli grow ... and it's moving. The meaning of "Bao", directed by Canadian-ChineseDomee Shi, go talk to all parents: the first woman to direct a Pixar film simply wanted to pay tribute to the chinese culturewhile addressing the issue of "Empty nest syndrome", or that feeling felt by parents when their children leave home.

A short film unveiled for free and in full on the Twitter account of Disney Pixar last November 23 and you will find the video below.

Despite a mini-controversy, where some netizens claimed not to understand the moral behind this little film, the majority of the audience loved it. the United States, the problem is all the more the savoir vivre of some. Having heard mockery during the broadcast, a surfer rebels on Twitter:

It really annoys me that we make fun of the movie. Not only is it a total lack of respect, but it shows how much Asian culture is not represented enough in the American media.

Yet for the director, it's easy to identify in this little tale. "Everyone has a parent on-protecting who does not let them go. And they always end up getting together around a meal ". Contrary apart, it is certain that the small film does not leave indifferent and that it always respects the leg of the studios that created it. To believe that Pixar takes pleasure in playing with our emotions ...

In any case, it remains a beautiful metaphor on the family and above all, a touching and realistic work on parent-child relationships. And you, do not hesitate to tell us what you thought about it! 😊
