These 2 artists inserted an inflatable giant octopus in an abandoned warehouse

If you are a fan of science fiction and a lover of mythologyyou will inevitably be challenged by the installation street art that we will introduce you. For the neophytes, the Kraken is a terrible fantastic creature that comes in the form of a giant octopus which attacks the sailors. A creature that we meet in particular in films like Pirates of the Caribbean.

And if this sea monster lived in our world, and worse, managed to leave the seas and oceans to attack our cities? That's what the duo of artists composed of Luke Egan and Pete Hamilton, better known as pseudonyms Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas.

Do not be fooled by appearances: it's a giant inflatable octopus 🐙

For more than 23 years, this creative duo gives rise to staggering artistic productions each one. The latest is therefore staged a terrible giant octopus whose tentacles are trying to escape from a building.

In fact, it is an inflatable octopus that has been installed inside the Building 611 the Philadelphia Navy Yard, a former shipyard United States (who for the record is famous for producing mythical ships like the USS New Jersey or the USS Wisconsin).

But the two acolytes are not at their first attempt. Indeed, in 2008, they had already created a similar facility, and this time, in la France ! To learn more about these two artists, we invite you to visit the duo's portfolio.
