Netflix creates controversy with a display campaign deemed too gore

Decidedly, Netflix seems to accumulate polemics abroad. After the Christmas campaign around the series Narcos, it is the new poster campaign for the series Santa Clarita Diet that makes talk about it. This new comic series features a young woman who turns into a zombie overnight. Netflix has built its campaign with visuals that mix food with death.

But it seems that this campaign is rather badly spent in Germany. A display broadcast in Berlin for the series saw currywurst, one of the most iconic dishes of our Germanic friends, turned into a finger. Passersby said they were shocked by this campaign, considered too gory, and filed a complaint to have the ad removed. Even if we can think of bad buzz, would not the genius finally reside in shocking the public to talk about the campaign? We leave you judges.
